Brian Warner, trombonist

Temporary Placeholder ~-~-~-~-~ Image Coming Soon In the fifth grade, Brian picked up the trombone, after being told that there were plenty of saxophones, and a euphonium was just too expensive.  So, starting on an old pawn shop Bundy, he began his studies. During high school, he started to get serious about playing the trombone. He began private instruction under Timothy Van Dam, and auditioned for a number of honors ensembles.  He was selected to perform in numerous ensembles such as All-County, Tri-State, and LSU's Honors Chamber Winds.

While attending the LSU summer music camp, he fell in love with the atmosphere of the and the feel of the music school, and the trombone studio in particular.  Following a successful audition, he now attends LSU full-time, pursuing his undergraduate in Music Performance under the instruction of Jeannie Little.  He is currently a member of a number of performing groups at LSU.

Although he is a newcomer to the music scene, he has had the opportunity to perform with a number of amateur and professional groups, spanning the range of musical styles.  Among these have been the Christian Symphonic Band and Strings, Playground Swing, and the Northwest Florida Philharmonic under David Ott.

In addition to being an actively training musician, Brian tries to find time to pursue other hobbies, such as web design and photography.  In his little leisure time, he likes to paintball and deep-water dive (SCUBA).

For those who feel that they have to know, he currently plays on a Shires custom tenor, using a standard gold-plated Denis Wick mouthpiece.
