Well, ETW's over, and Spring Break's a thing of the past.  Hopefully everyone had a blast testing out mouthpieces, checking out trombones, and getting a hands-on with all the new trombone-geek gadgets that we all love so much.

Oh, and the players.  How about those recitals and masterclasses???  What a weekend - and it had to be even better live.  Too bad I had to miss out on this one... you better believe that I will be in attendance come next spring!

Kudos to everyone who participated - playing, performing, teaching, and otherwise working to make the weekend a success!

(Note to The Powers That Be within the ETW: Videocasts of the entire weekend would be really awesome for those of us who are stuck at home.  But the audiostreams were definitely not bad!)

March 13, 2008

Well, it's ETW tme!  Head over to the U.S. Army Trombones' website for audio and video streaming of the performances.

At 4:00 PM Eastern, The LSU Jazz Trombone Ensemble is taking the stage as the winners of the 2008 Jazz Trombone Ensemble Competition!  Definitely worth checking out, along with other competition winners, guests, masterclasses, and more!

Many resources have been added to, expounded, or worked on in some fashion. Seems like the more I do, the more there is yet to be done. Oh well.  It'll all be finished... eventually.

January 18, 2008

Some more work has been done throughout. A few more pages and resources up, and tons of new links have been added!

A new event has been added. Upcoming Events are located underneath the type you are currently reading, on the left-hand column.

More work will be done over this coming weekend. I hope to really expand the articles section, and maybe add something about repairs / brass technicians. We'll see.

My Baby, in Black and White

After looking over the older iteration of my web site, I've decided that I will be making some drastic changes to my 'online presence'.  The old site is gone for good, which honestly really isn't a bad thing.  On the upside, there is a lot to look forward to in the very near future!

I hope you enjoy the site, and as it continues to grow, I will be continually developing and updating the site.  If you wish to give me a heads up about something, be it a useful trombone- or music-related site to share, or to let me know about a technical issue you are having, feel free to send me an email.  My contact information is found above, under the 'contact' tab.

current > future

looking forward to what's ahead

As I finish up the work on the site, I continue to brainstorm and design new resources to provide better and more useful information.  After all, that is what this site is about - providing personal and professional info about myself, and providing useful links and sources of information for the trombone playing musician.  As I continue to develop the site, I will be constantly adding more resources, in addition to a number of personal media files.  Again, if you have comments or suggestions, I always welcome a friendly email.

Due to the amount of construction going on all over the place, be careful to watch your step.  Broken links and latent Lorem Ipsum may be scattered throughout.  I'm trying to correct as many bugs and typos that I can, both as I go along and by looking back at what all I've already done, but I don't always catch everything.  Plus, I'm not actually totally completely exactly finished, so there is a bit of 'work in progress' laying around.

There's only 30 hours in a day, y'know.

I promise to make everything look nice and pretty as soon as possible.  If there's something you notice that is particularly bugging you, or you notice that you think I may not have caught, give me a heads up.  I'd really appreciate it.  This site is in its infancy, and I really want to fill it out as quickly and completely as possible.

And if you ever come across the dreaded 404, please let me know right away via email.  Those responsible will be flogged.  Repeatedly.

Keep it cool.  Keep it jazzy.  And keep practicing.

Peace...
